Recognising Jarrod’s unique safety concerns, MSA collaborated with the FIA to bring tailored upgrades to his V8 Sandmaster, including a custom-fit safety fuel cell, an advanced fire extinguisher system, and specialised racing gear. These enhancements allow Jarrod to compete with greater confidence, embodying MSA’s mission to foster an inclusive, safe environment for all competitors.

“Motorsport is a unique platform for inclusivity, and our priority is to ensure that every competitor feels supported,” said MSA CEO Vic Maharaj. “These upgrades underscore our commitment to safety for all members of our racing community, especially those with specific needs, empowering disabled competitors to pursue their passion with confidence.

Nathalie McGloin, FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission President, said: “We commend MSA for its dedication to enhancing safety and accessibility for disabled drivers. The Commission has made remarkable strides in recent years, especially in junior categories, to ensure that motorsport is accessible and safe for all. Our guidelines provide essential guidance and resources, developed with insights from the FIA Adaptations Working Group and FIA Safety and Technical Departments, to support vehicle adaptations for disabled drivers.
